This new venture in Vasant Kunj RIS has gained enormous momentum since its inception two years ago. Apart from conducting regular workshops for the module I, IIand III, students who recently organized a night of observing the comet in Vasant Kunj.Before this special ent “hands on the telescope” was organized to teach students toshow to observe the celestial bodies and watch the moon, Jupiter and some stars.Raghu Kalra our astronomer in the making had the unique opportunity of beingselected to visit the world’s highest observatory in the observatory at Hanle in Ladakh.Their experiences and memories have always been impressive and inspiring. Ryan’srecent achievement club amateur astronomy has been an interaction with SunitaWilliams, a dream come true for all members. Could share their personal experienceswith it and seek guidance and help in the popularization of ISRO’s Space ProgramIndia.
Ryan international School, Vasant Kunj has took the lead in 2006-2007, in starting the vermin composting club namely The Garbyhog Club. Students of classes VII and VIII are part of this club along with their teacher in charge Mrs. Manju Katoch. It is an excellent method of disposal of waste, as the worms eat their way into it. The organic manure produced by this process is used to keep the plants in the school premises healthy. Ryan International Vasant Kunj was host to the inauguration of the Garbyhog. Home Builders Project by the esteemed Chief Minister of Delhi Honorable Smt. Sheila Dikshit in the presence of M.D Ryan Group of Schools Madam Grace Pinto, eminent environmentalist. Dr. R.K. Pachauri Director TERI and Mr. G.K. agarwal (Executive Director (HR) NTPC. The Garbyhog club is progressing ahead in leaps and bounds.

An Inter-School English Debate was organised by TERI. Shruti Sriram and Vasundhara Minocha of Class XII represented the school and together won the 1st Position. Shruti was adjudged as the best speaker. Both were awarded CERTIFICATE, A TROPHY AND CASH PRIZE by Mrs. Sheila Dixit. Shruti Sriram also received LAPTOP for being adjudged as the best speaker. Our school bagged prize in all five most prestigious debates of the state.

Modern School, commonly known as modern, is a private co-educational school in New Delhi, India. Founded in 1920 by Lala Raghubir Singh and Sir Sobha Singh. It is the first private school based in New Delhi under British rule. It has a 27-acre (110,000 m2) in the campus Barakhamba Road, near Connaught Place. Junior School, also known as Raghubir
Singh Junior Modern School, is on track to Humayun. There is a sister Vasant Vihar campus.
It is recognized as a leading educational institutions in India and has a long list of distinguished alumni, including former India Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The school is run by a Board of Trustees, who appoint the director (Barakhamba Road and Vasant Vihar) and Master Chief (Humayun Road). It has 15 houses on the Barakhamba
