The West Bengal University of Technology has announced the Results for all semester like 1st / 2nd / 3rd / 4th / 5th / 6th / 7th / 8th Sem examination 2010 – 2011. As per announcement, WBUT Results 2010 – 2011 will be published soon ONLINE at the main official website’s of the University i.e. www.wbut.ac.in or www.wbut.net.
West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) is one of the best technical university in the Indian State of West Bengal.
The Government of West Bengal set up an expert Committee on December 31, 1998 under the chairmanship of Dr. Ashesh Prasad Mitra, Scientist Eminence, to explore the necessity and scope for the establishment of a district Engineering and Technology University in the state of West Bengal. Following an in depth review of the status and issues of technical education at the degree and higher level in the country and in the state of West Bengal, the committee observed that the facilities for technical education at the degree level in West Bengal required enhancement. The existing and forthcoming engineering and technology colleges badly needed the support and guidance of a full-fledged centralized Technological University for the growth and improvement of quality technological education.
The University provides degree courses like B.Tech, B.OPTM, B.C.A, BTTM, BBA and B.E. WBUT also caters Master degree’s like M.Tech, MBA & Ph.D. degree. The University has 209 colleges and institutes affiliated to it which are spread throughout the State of West Bengal.

The West Bengal University of Technology, commonly referred to as WBUT or UTech, is a public state university located in suburban satellite township of Salt Lake City, Kolkata, West Bengal. The university primarily provides programs in multidisciplinary fields like science, technology and management.
Funded at the initial stages of its formation by the Government of West Bengal, the UTech is set to become a “Center of Excellence” in multidisciplinary science and technology areas of topical importance, in studies and research, in addition to providing adequate facilities for the pursuit of degree and advanced-level course in management, paramedical and other professional areas through its affiliated institutions. The University has been accorded the affiliating University status with its jurisdiction encompassing the entire state of West Bengal.

WBSSC Result of Written Examination 2010
0West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC), Kolkata, West Bengal declared Assistant Teacher Written Exam Under 11th Regional Level Selection Test 2010 Result.
The West Bengal School Service Commission Act, 1997 (West Bengal Act IV 1997) enacted by Notification No. 936-L dated 1.4.1997 came into force with effect from 01.11.1997 for the purpose of recruitment of Assistant Teacher and Headmaster/ Headmistress in recognized Non-Government aided Schools in West Bengal and presently the recruitment processes are guided by the West Bengal School Service Commission (Selection of Persons for Appointment to the Post of Teacher) Rules, 2007 and relevant amendments thereafter. The State Government later on decided that the Non-Teaching Staff in the posts of Librarian, Clerk and Group-D Staff including Laboratory Attendant, Peon, Night Guard, Matron in recognized Non-Government aided Schools in West Bengal should also be recruited through School Service Commission, and accordingly necessary amendments have been introduced in the said Act, vide the West Bengal School Service Commission (Amendment) Act, 2008 (West Ben. Act IV of 2008) and such selection process be guided by the West Bengal School Service Commission (Selection of Persons for Appointment to the Post of Non-Teaching Staff) Rules, 2009.
The Commission which is the first of its kind in the country consists of a Central Commission by the name of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission and Six Regional Commissions by the name of the West Bengal Regional School Service Commission which act under the control and supervision of the Central Commission.
