Planning for the metro started in 1984, when the Delhi Development Authority and the Urban Arts Commission came up with a proposal for developing a multi-modal transport system for the city. The Government of India and the Government of Delhi jointly set up the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in 1995. Construction started in 1998, and the first section, on the Red Line, opened in 2002, followed by the Yellow Line in 2004, the Blue Line in 2005, its branch line in 2009, the Green and Violet Lines in 2010. Subsequently, these lines have been extended and new lines are under construction in Phase II of the project, including the Delhi Airport Metro Express whose opening has been postponed until December 2010 due to safety concerns

Deputy General Manager (Property Development Planning)

Qualification : Degree in Town/Urban Planning from a reputed Institute. Post Graduates will be preferred.
Work Experience : 10 years experience in relevant field in Govt./Private Orgns.

Asstt. Manager (Property Development Planning)
No of Posts : 02
Qualification : Degree in Town/Urban Planning from a reputed Institute
Work Experience : 3 years experience in relevant field in Govt./Private Orgns.
Age Limit as on 01-07-10 : 35 Years
Pay Scale(In Rs.) : 24900-50500
Eligible and willing candidates, who fulfill the above, mentioned eligibility criteria may attend the “Walk in Interview†along with the attached application form duly filled in. Selected candidates will be required to join the post within a fortnight period after declaration of the results. Only those who can join at a fortnight’s notice need to attend the interview.
Selection Procedure:
The short listed candidates after interview will have to appear for Group Discussions. If the number of short listed candidates is few, Group Discussions will be held on the same date, or on the next date as announced on the date of interview. No separate communications by post will be sent to the candidates individually. Candidates are required to go through the instructions for interview displayed on our website and appear for the interview accordingly along with original copies of testimonials. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be New Delhi. The NOC for attending the interview from the present employer for candidates working in Govt. Qualification : Officers of Central Group-‘A’ services like IA&AS, IRAS, ICAS etc. PSU Executives with qualifications of CA/ICWA having managerial experience at a senior level and experience in Corporate financial Management and accounts including project finance and budgetary control, institutional finance, working capital management in an organization of repute.
Age as on 01-07-10 : 52 yrs
Pay Scale : Rs.51300- 73000 (IDA)
